Arte sobre cristal

Fue en al año 2008 cuando en Murcia emergió un singular y a la vez artístico edificio. Su principal virtud estriba en que los 483 cristales que circundan tres de sus fachadas sirven de soporte para una obra parida por el artista murciano, nacido en Valencia, Ángel Haro. El Edificio Entorno 97, nombre que recibe este singular lienzo, está enclavado en la avenida Mariano Rojas de la capital murciana, que desde entonces, permanece “eternamente” ilustrada. Los arquitectos de esta particular obra son Jesus Zafra y Javier Alarcón.

Museo de Bellas Artes de Murcia

En la ciudad de Murcia, sobre un lugar repleto de historia, aquel que un día ocupó el Convento de la Trinidad junto a la legendaria Puerta de Orihuela, se levanta este Templo del Arte. Fue el arquitecto Pedro Cerdán, en los albores del siglo XX, quien se encargó de estructurar el actual inmueble de carácter neoclásico, para el que decidió aprovechar algunos elementos del desaparecido convento del siglo XVII, recuperando así la columnata del claustro que desde entonces reluce en la fachada.

Aunque en Murcia continue siendo un artista poco reconocido, este célebre pintor murciano, enmarcado en un incipiente barroco naturalista, es considerado como uno de los más grandes de la pintura española de su época. Fue apodado como el “Bassano español”, por la influencia que ejercieron sobre su obra aquella familia de artistas manieristas del cinquecento italiano, y destacó especialmente por la realización de temas sobre el Antiguo Testamento.
